Vasha, the Disney elephant has given birth.

Vasha, 25. Has given birth to her second calf.  He is big even for a baby elephant!! 311 pounds!

The calf is a male, sired by Ali (Jacksonville zoo) through artificial insemination.

Vasha’s first calf, Kianga, was born in 2004

This is only the third African elephant birth this year. He is the second male born. Although, his genetics are extremly valuable considering he is Ali’s second calf.  This birth brings Disney’s herd to 12. Just look at how cute he is!
